Who are CLNN members?

Answer. CLNN members are nurses and other health care professionals who share an interest in lipids and dyslipidemia management. Members are involved in a variety of clinical areas - including lipid, diabetes, cardiac risk reduction, cardiac rehabilitation and other hospital-based and out-patient or private clinical settings. Current membership includes:

  • Nurses
  • Nurse Practitioners
  • Research Nurses
  • Dietitians
  • Exercise Specialists
  • Physicians
  • Pharmacists

Answer:

How do I join the CLNN?

Answer.
If you are part of a regulated health care profession, we encourage you to review the Membership By-Laws (PDF) before applying. To apply for membership, complete and submit the online CLNN Membership Application / Renewal Form .

When are applications for membership approved?

Answer. All applications for CLNN membership are reviewed by the CLNN Executive. You will be notified by e-mail if you are not eligible for membership. Within 6-8 weeks of receiving your membership request, an information letter and resources will be sent out to you by mail.

What are the requirements for membership in CLNN?

Answer. Applicants must be health care professionals. All applicants are required to submit a completed application form . Applicants must also agree to abide by CLNN's By-Laws (PDF) .

How many members does the CLNN have?

Answer. As of August 2005, the CLNN has over 500 members in Canada. There are CLNN members in each Province.

How does the CLNN communicate with it's members?

Answer.
The main form of communication is through information posted on our website. In addition, we mail out a newsletter and information/resources on a semi-annual basis. Upon joining, you are provided with the contact information for the CLNN Leadership Team and you may contact us at anytime.


How do CLNN members network with other health care professionals?

Answer.
We are able to provide you with the contact information for the CLNN leaders in your Province so that you may be informed on current CLNN activities and projects within your Province.
